Touring the Castle!

Another beautiful day, a group of us went and toured the Edinburgh Castle.  Such a cool place, imagine hundreds of years ago people were actually living in the castle and defending it.










The view from the castle looked over much of the city.  You could see so far out under the blue sky.  

The statue to the right in the picture is William Wallace, better known as Braveheart.  The Latin writing above the entrance says "Nemo me impune lacessit," which translates to "No one attacks me with impunity."  Our tour guide said essentially that means if you attack us we will attack you back....


The castle was well protected back in its day...


To the right is the oldest building in the castle, their church.  Below is the dungeon of the castle where people were imprisoned...
